Meet The Owners

We have been a family-run practice since we opened our doors in XXXX. As the proud owners of Lister House Dental Centre in Harlow, Bhasker, Neal and Rajan Mehta are committed to providing the local community with the best possible dental care in a relaxed, modern environment. Together, the Mehta family has built our practice on trust and earned a reputation in the Harlow area for five-star patient care.

Principal Dentist

Dr Bhasker Mehta

53997Dr Bhasker Mehta qualified at the Royal Dental Hospital Leicester Square in 1980 and he began practicing at Lister House Dental Centre immediately after graduating. He has continued to undergo further postgraduate training and has further qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons in London. Both his knowledge and practical skills have been taught to dental foundation trainees over the past 20 years of being a dental foundation trainer for the London deanery.He is particularly interested in general restorative dentistry as well as cosmetic dentistry such as chair side composite veneers and ceramic crown work. Dr Mehta’s interests out of the practice include travelling and photography.Please find below a list of the following postgraduate qualifications/certifications Dr Bhasker Mehta has achieved after achieving his Bachelors in Dental Surgery:

  • He has become a Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners London.
  • Dental Foundation trainer for over 20 years teaching and mentoring recently qualified dental graduates and introducing them to NHS general dental practice.
  • Certifications in the use of short-term orthodontic techniques with CFast.
  • Certifications in the advanced restorative techniques and core dental topics.

Dr Rajan Mehta

Dr. Raj is the Principal Dentist and Partner at Sarum Dental Practice, where he has been proudly caring for patients since 2015. He is also a Partner at Lister House Dental Centre in Harlow, Essex.

Graduating with Honours in Dentistry from Cardiff University in 2010, he went on to achieve membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) in Edinburgh. He has continued to build on his skills through postgraduate training in dental education, implant dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. His implant training has included a modular course with the Moor Park Specialist Dental Academy, where he gained valuable experience placing implants in a hospital setting in Brazil, as well as a PGCert in Implant Dentistry with the Osstem Academy.

Dr. Raj has a strong interest in orthodontics, particularly Invisalign and Align Orthodontics, and enjoys helping patients transform their smiles with minimally invasive treatments such as composite bonding and veneers. He has completed advanced training in composite techniques with highly respected clinicians in the field. Alongside his clinical work, he is also an Educational Supervisor, supporting and mentoring newly qualified dentists in primary care.

Patients value Dr. Raj for his warm and caring approach. Treating people like family has always been at the heart of his ethos, and he takes pride in creating a welcoming, reassuring environment.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his young family, travelling, photography, and staying fit at the gym.

Dr Neal Mehta

Neal is the owner and partner of two family-run dental practices – Sarum Dental Practice in Salisbury and Lister House Dental Centre in Harlow. With a special interest in dental implants, Invisalign® treatment, and a variety of cosmetic procedures such as composite bonding, he enjoys helping patients improve both the health and appearance of their smiles.

He is also dedicated to supporting the next generation of dentists, having been a foundation trainer for newly qualified dentists for more than seven years. Mentoring younger colleagues and watching them grow into confident professionals is something he finds especially rewarding.

Outside of practice life, Neal has been involved in charitable work, including a placement in a rural Ghanaian village where he provided essential dental care to communities with limited access to treatment.
